Tell us about yourself!
My name is Lauren and I am a recent grad from the University of Delaware! I am currently in the Philadelphia area where I am a nutritionist for a non-profit until I begin my dietetic internship. My DI starts in March 2019 at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital!
Share your approach to food with us: what do you like to cook? Why?
I loveeee to bake because sweets are my favorite. I find that I can come up with the most recipes this way rather than recipes for meals. Recently I haven’t had as much time for recipe development and WTR has been amazing for finding some great recipes!

Healthy Sugar Cookies – My favorite thing to do is healthify old time classic recipes that I have always loved. I never saw too many recipes for healthier sugar cookies so I decided to make one myself, they came out incredible! Recipe here.
Dark Chocolate Truffles – By far one of my FAVORITE recipes. I love that it is so simple/so few ingredients. Plus they taste just like truffles!! Recipe here.
Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies – Who doesn’t love a classic chocolate chip cookie recipe? Especially when its made from quality ingredients that your body will love you for! These are so fluffy and dense they certainly pack a punch! Recipe here.

Eat the things you love and the things that make you feel good. Don’t let someone tell you that a specific food is bad, everything is good in moderation, for the body and the mind!
