What to Bring to a Memorial Day BBQ
Does anyone else struggle with what to bring when you’re a guest at a dinner party? Due to the all-consuming panic I feel showing up empty handed, we’ve put together some ideas for what to bring when you’re a guest this Memorial Day. If you’re hosting, these are also great options for you to prep ahead and serve to your fam + friends! We broke it down with a few apps, salads & desserts. Enjoy!
Dips are SUCH a great thing to bring to an event. You just whip it up and bring some veggies, crackers, etc. My typical go to’s in this instance would be a homemade hummus, tzatziki, or whipped feta. But I find this Edamame Dip to be more out of the box and a fun change of pace!
I understand that this is technically a “salad” but honestly, grab me some chips and I’m dipping this like a salsa all day.

My Aunt Charlotte brings fruit + dip to every family gathering and the plate is demolished. It’s refreshing to have a big giant fruit plate with a tasty dip to dive into before the real deal. Simply arrange a bunch of fresh fruit on a platter with this dippy in the middle. You’ll win over the crowd!

Love me a quinoa salad. Easy to make ahead of time and simply squeeze a little fresh lemon before serving to freshen it up.

I’m moved. The peach with the avo is heaven and it’s just so bright and summery, it’s the perfect way to kick of summer. Keep the avo separate until you serve and throw it in last minute so its fresh 2 death.

Had to have a pasta salad in the mix… it’s just too quintessential MDW! We’re all about the feta, cukes and olives in this Greek version of the pasta salad.

I think these are sooo cute! If you’re going to a smaller party you can bring these in plastic wine glasses as pictures, but if I was bringing this I’d likely throw it in a big glass bowl with the berries all on top. So festive and a lightened up dessert!

Dying to dive into this layered, naked trifle. I love how the sides expose the beautiful fruit, cream and cake.
